Good morning!

Sorry I'm late today!   I spent most of my day & night filling Chic StandTM orders. I am so excited & overwhelmed at the same time.  Just when I needed a lift the most...it happened :)  This is what I found in my mail box yesterday.  Amazing isn't it? My day started out crumby and it just got better & better :)

I'm so excited.....look at my new Chic StandsTM!!  This time they each came in their own little bag and they're only printed on one side.  See, I listened when some of you said you hated to poke a hole through the name :)  I know how you feel!

A good day after all :)

Oh my gosh......I've been having a terrible morning & cried ever since I woke up.  A couple things happened and it all happened at once.  One of my neighbors from my old neighborhood passed away on Friday and the rosary service was last night. It was difficult being there because she was only 40 years old with a dear husband and two young girls.  I had not seen her in many years but regardless, it breaks my heart.

The next reason will make you think I've lost it......My most favorite show Moonlight was canceled yesterday :(  I know that sounds so crazy to be so upset.  But, I am a romantic at heart, always have been, always will be.  I'm the person that also watched Titanic like 4 times at the theater.  Can you relate?  I'm a sap...my kids say I cry at Barney (I don't....but I could if it had a sad moment).

Sorry for my personal post today....I try every hard to post only business stuff!!

Now for the good news.....just when I think I'm going to cry all day, not answer the phone and leave the blinds closed, so it will look like I'm not home........A miracle happens (God answered my prayers).......MY CHIC STANDSTM JUST ARRIVED :)  I'm going to take a picture and post it in a few minutes :)

Group meeting card :)

Good morning!

Yesterday was crazy busy and I didn't get a chance to stamp :(  sad isn't it?  So, I decided to show you a card that was shown to me at our last group meeting.

  Paula Cannon made this card.....it's cute & different and that's why I like it so much.  Thanks Paula for sharing and I hope it's okay I'm sharing it on my blog :)  I think the technique is called Faux Metal...correct me if I'm wrong.  I haven't done that technique in years....that reminds me I need to show my club girls.

Address Book or Password Book

Good morning!

What do you think about my darling address book?   I love it & I had to make another one just as soon as I finished this one.  Remember the one that Dawn E. gave me a few days ago?  Well, I told her it was to beautiful to use.....then I went & did the same.  So, I decided to make myself one that I could use all the time, except it will hold my passwords for all my websites.

Do you have that problem?  Seems like I have about 30 user names and even more passwords.  So, instead of it being an address book, it will be my Password book.  Cool isn't it? (great.... now I've just told a burglar where to find my passwords....maybe I'll hide it under the mattress and make him really work for it....just kidding :)  if you've seen my room you'd know....finding that thing would be like finding a needle in a haystack.)

I hope that you all had a great Mother's day :)   I got to do exactly what I wanted to do......sleep, eat & stamp.  Would you like to see my goodies?  I have to tell ya a story first.  My good friend Sandra carries a Vera Bradley purse and the good friend that I am has always told her it looked like a grandma purse (I know, sometimes I'm opinionated, what can I say?)  Well, once again....I am eating my words...the more I looked at her purse...the more I started to like it.  So, there you have it, I got a new purse & some books :)  And to top it off .....10% of the sales went to Breast Cancer Awareness.

Mother's Day card & some RAKS

Good morning!

Today's card is a warm up card.....I kinda lost my mojo... so, I made this card to get back into the swing of things.  I'll show you what I came up with tomorrow.....meanwhile....check out all my lovely gifts that some friends gave me.

  Can you  believe how cute these fishing creels are?  Gigi sent them to me and you can imagine my surprise when I opened the box.  I can't wait to show them to Dave.  Thanks Gigi, I really appreciate it!!!

Update:  Several people have ask how to make the fishing creels.....here ya go....She used my Nugget Purse template and just changed it up a little :)

What about this darling book?  Isn't it just beautiful?  Dawn E. sent this to me and I think I hugged it when I opened it.  Thanks girlfriend! You didn't have to send me anything...but I'm sure glad you did :)))

This Pun Fun card by Sally is so cute!  Thanks Sally.....you know that's one of my favorite stamp sets! (the envelope was darling too). 

The next two pictures are some goodies from my friend Sandra.....see those chocolates...I ate them all ....within about 5 minutes (they are my favorite candy...next to candy cigarettes....speaking of that...hint hint Shelly..I need more, can you set me up :)

Scrapbook of Favorites

Good morning & Happy Friday!

May is National Scrapbook Month...& I decided to start a "Album of Favorites.  For a few years now I've watched how popular "Albums about me" are....but....I'm just not ready to do one of those.  So.... I came up with My Favorites.  Good idea isn't it?  I love my little Journal box, you'll have to click on the picture to view it larger.

I'm working on a few pages now...one is "My Favorite Pet" and "My Favorite Picture of Sissy & Fluffy"  (our two Bichons) and My Favorite picture of Dave (my hubby).  These pages are not the most creative.... but I love how cute & fun they're turning out. (I might even do a page about my Favorite TV show - Moonlight or should I do My Favorite Movie Star?) 

This page is "My Favorite Family Photo" & I love this picture...or maybe it was the whole experience that I love.  Most of our family vacations have been to visit family since we live so far from both of our families....but that year we went to Clearwater, Florida and it was the BEST.  Every meal we had was great and it went so well we had to go back the next year....I just might have to do a page on our Favorite Photo from Universal Studios.

Jersey Shore Father's Day

I made this card real fast yesterday ....I saw a card last week with the Jersey Shore Designer Paper with the All Holidays stamp set and I had to make one too :)  But.....I need to make a couple changes...if I can get it to work out...you may see this card again :)

Does this look familiar??  It kinda looks like my Monogram Post it Notes that I sell over on my Chic n' Scratch Shack.......but.... it's not....it's actually a card :)  It's so cute in person....Donna (one of my angels) said today that it would make a great baby card....it would... wouldn't it?  (Karen, I'm mailing you one of these in pink!  Elizabeth, thank you for the reminder)

I'm hooked on monograms again....good thing its the perfect time of the year....between Mother's Day, Graduation & Teacher Gifts (not only for Teacher Appreciation week but also end of the year gifts)!

Brook's Brag Book

Good morning!!

This cute little Brag Book is what I'm giving Brook for her end of the year gift. In the fall, she starts High School and I wanted to give her a little special something. I've included a few of my favorite photos of her....I'm also going to include some of the poems she's written in the past few years and a short note.

The pictures I'm sharing doesn't show the finished project......I'm just thankful I have a few more weeks to get it finished :)

Would you like to see how I made this?  I'll work on a Video and try to get it posted before the weekend. I know it would make a great Mother's Day gift.  If you want to work on finding photos.....the pictures need to be 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 (that was the most time consuming).

I'm so excited that today's the day to register for Convention!! Yippie!!!!  I can't wait to learn all kinds of new things....you can imagine the pictures I'm going to take :)

Cards for the 12 x 12 Box

Good morning!

Here's the cards for the Card Box ....aren't they pretty?  For my box I have an assortment of the three cards you see here.  Two of them are full cards and the last one is a stationery card.   If you're making them for your Mother or a teacher, you can either monogram them or you could always use an image instead.   

Thanks for all the kind remarks yesterday...I knew the box would be a hit & couldn't wait to share it!!  I have another project that I'm equally as excited about but this time no hints :) it too will be worth the wait.
