I am in need of a new video camera. The two things I need the most are good quality and a remote. In the fall of last year I purchased a Canon camcorder. The quality is great.....but I'm on my 8th Memory card. Memory cards are not cheap and I'm losing video content in the process. Earlier this week I filmed a video for my Savanna Bag. When I tried to upload it to my computer it kept getting an error message right in the middle. So, I downloaded the parts I could, slipped the memory card back in my camera, deleted the parts that I had successfully downloaded and then went back to my computer and tried loading it. It worked...but you can see during my video is there is one spot that some fuzzy stuff goes across the screen.
I'm kicking myself for not doing my homework before I bought the camera!!! Since getting it, I've read online that it records in large files. Also, the lighting is not the best & the battery life it poor. I agree with all those! But, if it's daylight & your memory card is working, you get a great picture.
But, like I said Memory cards are not cheap, especially when they need to be HD & now I'm in constant fear of when is the next one going to go bad.
If anyone has a video camera they recommend I would love your help. Last time I bought my camera based on features, my next one will be based on recommendations!!
In the meantime I'll continue to use my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W90 when I don't need a remote. I also use Brooke's video camera and she has the DSC-W290.
Thanks!
