12 Weeks of Halloween Week 3 2012

12 weeks of halloween banner
Scallop Circle box

The Scallop Circle Box is the third project for my 12 Weeks of Halloween.

I used the Monster Munchies stamp set with the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Paper.

I cut the scallops out with the Scallop Circle Die with the Big Shot Die Cut Machine and then embossed them with the Spider Web Embossing Folder.

I stamped the image from the Monster Munchies stamp set with Basic Gray ink and attached it to the rosette with a Dimensional.

This box will hold all sorts of snack size Halloween candy!!

To make the rosette I use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool  with the a piece of Designer Series Paper that measures 12 x 1-1/2 and scored at every 1/2".

Click on the button below to download the instructions (posted on Google Docs).

Stamp Kit of the Month Club

It has come to my attention that the service I was using for my Stamp Kit of the Month Club has stopped working (or is malfunctioning).

If you registered for Stamp Kit of the Month Club and have not received an email from me personally ...please let me know.

The system I was using shows several people abandoned the sign up process .....but when I logged into my Paypal account today I saw several payments I didn't recognize... that prompted me to ask some questions ....   It looks like it's been going on for about 10 days.

I've switched everything over and will be using a different service for registration ...payments are not expected during the sign up process.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me at 913-851-3336 or [email protected].

Candlelight Christmas Coaster Calendar

Candlelight Christmas Coaster CalendarI'm sharing with you another version of the Rectangle Coaster Calendar.

This time instead of using two rectangle coasters ... I used one coaster and made it to hang on the wall (or you could use an easel and put it on your desk).

I used the Candlelight Christmas Speciality Paper from the Holiday Catalog ...along with Lucky Limeaid card stock.

Instead of using the Lucky Limeaid Ruffled Ribbon .. I choose some of my retired Real Red Grosgrain (I miss not having Grosgrain ribbon in our catalog).

Coaster calendar side view
By the way...I forgot to mention ...the 2013 Calendar will fit on a 4 x 4 Square Coaster.

The question of the day yesterday was "am I going to offer the 4 x 4 coasters?" ...the answer is Yes ...but it may be a week or so.  I'm still in catch up mode .....and  .....

MY NEW WEBSITE is coming!!

Yes, you heard that right ...we are in the final stages.  I'm totally freaking out and excited at the same time.

The plan is ....when my new site goes live ... I'm going to be offering Blog Candy (like every day) ... live streaming and who knows what else.  I've got my thinking cap on ... if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Click here if you'd like to order the 2013 Calendar (Digital Download).  Speaking of the download ..if you paid for the calendar yesterday and did not receive the link please let me know and I'll resend it.

Click here if you'd like to order Rectangle Coasters (available while supplies last).

Tune in tomorrow for my 12 Weeks of Halloween (week 3).

Thanks & have a great day!!

Rectangle Coaster Calendar

2013 Rectangle Coaster CalendarMy project today is the Rectangle Coaster Calendar using the 2013 Calendar.

To make this Rectangle Coaster Calendar you'll need:

  • Rectangle Coasters (available for a limited time).  Click here for details on how to order them.
  • 2013 Calendar (PDF with cutting instructions).  Click here for more info.

I made this Coaster Calendar with the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  I LOVE this pack of paper and it's perfect to make a whole bunch of these calendars....all you do is trim the 4 x 6 piece of designer paper to measure 3-7/8 x 5-3/8 ..it's very easy!

I also used three pieces of Lucky Limeaid card stock to cover the back of the coaster and the other coaster that's behind it (two coasters are used to make it stand) along with the Lucky Limeaid Ruffled Ribbon.

Click here if you'd like to see the 2011 version of the Rectangle Coaster Calendar.

Let me know if you'd like me to film a video on the 2013 version.

Thank you for reminding me that it was time to get this project posted and to make the calendar available!!

Thanks & have a great day!!

Stamp Set of the Month for September

Scentsatinoal Season stamp set cardThe stamp set for my September Stamp Kit of the Month Club is the Scentsational Season stamp set ....that can be found in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog (page 16).

I love this stamp set because it has the matching Holiday Collection Framelits  ..... they're a real time saver .... no more cutting all those images out my hand!!

The base of the card is Early Espresso and I embossed it with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

I cut out two of the Labels Collection Framelits ..smaller one with Whisper White card stock and the other with Cherry Cobbler card stock.

I stamped "Merry Christmas" from the Open Sleigh stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink and I stamped the gingerbread man with Early Espresso ink.  I cut the gingerbread man with the Holiday Collection framelits and then added him with Stampin Dimensionals.

I added the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and three Rhinestones for his buttons.

We had a great trip to California  .... but I must admit I was very COLD.  I said before I went that I would welcome cold weather after the summer we've been having...but I TAKE IT BACK :)  It's not uncommon for me to eat my words so I'll just laugh right along with you!!!

Please give me a few days to get caught up with my email .... but if you have an urgent matter you're welcome to email me again.

Thanks and have a great day!!

I stamped the image with Basic Gray ink and attached it to a Tangerine Tango scallop circle.

This treat bag will hold a Reese's cup perfectly (two of them) or any snack size Halloween candy.

To make the rosette I use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and scored every 1/2".

Two winners

Since I'm  a little tardy on announcing the winner of last weeks drawing ...I decided to give two prizes.

Congrats to: Mary Wessling & Vicki Colston!!!!   You've both won a Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit.  Please send your address to my assistant Julie at [email protected] and she'll ship it out right away.

Thanks for all the kind words and words of encouragement!!!

Brooke has officially moved out.  Tonight will be my first evening alone (Dave out of town... Chase at work)....as you can see I'm still a little emotional.  It's a good thing I have a trip later this week to distract me!!  I think she's doing okay.

At the orientation on Friday they spoke a little about Helicopter moms ...that would be me!!  I'm also thinking "did I really prepare her for the world out there"?  I'm afraid I did not.

I'll stop here for now ... I have another blog post for you today.

See ya!!
