Computer problems

I knew it would computer crashed and boy did it crash...all my files and pictures were lost for several hours today.   Thank God, a friend came over and recovered them long enough for me to save them to an external hard drive.   But, I need to get a new computer and we're leaving for the lake.....Hope I get a new computer and I get to see you next week!!!  I'll continue to check my email from my kids computers.  Have a safe and fun weekend!!!  I'll miss you all!!!

Updated on 8/30/07  If you don't own an external hard't walk to the store and buy one!  Very easy to transfer your files, I can't believe I'm going through this.  If you're like me and not sure what to do...Please ask was truly that easy.  The hard part will be figuring out what new computer to buy!!

Gifts_001 Isn't this the cutest card?  My friend Dawn sent it to me.

My next item to share with you is what I got in the mail if you read my post yesterday you have to know my mind was not in the right place (or my body either...wink wink) so anyway I checked my mail and there was a package...... and for 10 minutes or so I could not figure out why I was getting it.

Well, to be truthful I was kinda thinking that God knew I needed a "pick me up" and there it my mailbox.  I think I wrote a couple days ago that sometimes I forget things....never use to happen...turned 40 a few years ago and my memory just went out the window...oops rambling again...Okay..the end of the story  ...I signed up with Jen to do a RAK for this month.  Was not sure what to expect and look at the goodies Corie sent me....the picture does not do the cards justice!  Isn't this a nice surprise? (side note here...I feel so bad, I only sent my girl a couple cards....since it's my first time I didn't know what to expect...maybe I should put another package in the mail.)Gifts_005  Thanks Corie!!

And last but not least Dawn E. nominated me for Best Blog Friend...thanks girlfriend and back at ya!!Best25252bblog25252bfriend Sometimes is hard to pick who you want to nominate so I'm gonna nominate all my bloggin buddies this week.  It's been a whirlwind with all the tutorials, comments, blog candy...What a great week....(until yesterday)!!!

Have a super Saturday and thanks for checking in!!

Halloween Cup Tutorial

Halloween_cup_tutorial_010_2 Isn't this sooo cute??  I just had to share with ya.  For those of you that made it to Convention, I heard that Jaron showed you how to make these cute little booking cups.   The sky is the limit with these cups, there's no tags or stamping on this one...but image if you added that!!!

I know, they look like those cute little baskets using the toliet paper rolls, but these are soooo much easier and I'm positive I can make more than 6  an hour!!!! (For my open house I made the TP baskets and it took me two hours to make 12 of them.)

Thanks for the instructions Debbie (I tweaked it alittle)!!!!!

Here's the tutorial...if you have questions just let me know!!  I forgot to take a picture of all the supplies, but I will list them.

Supplies:  3 oz Dixie cup, Creepy Crawly Designer paper, Basic Black & Pumpkin Pie Cardstock (I used Confetti white cardstock to create my template), Black Brads, Black Grosgrain  Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Scissors, Paper Piercer & candy!!  You can also use the bigger cups, but they will cost more to fill them (and even if you fill them will cute crinkle paper, that's expensive too!!)

Halloween_cup_tutorial_008 Are you trying to figure out what's in that picture with the paper piercer?  That is one of the old Antenna balls that Stampin' Up sold years ago...that's where I keep my paper piercer!!(I know it's not a ball but what do you call those things you put on the end of your car antenna?)

Congrats to Kim for winning my blog candy yesterday!! And guess what.....she just celebrated her birthday!  That was so cool that Chase drew her name from the basket!!!  Tomorrow I'll have Brook pick a name for my customers/downline blog candy.

Big News!!!!!  If you've looked at my calendar and wrote down my class dates...please check back in a couple days.  Dave surprised me last night and told me he was taking me to Vegas (we're staying at the RED ROCK RESORT) for our 16th anniversary... .he already ask his dad to come to our house and watch our kids...Yippie!!!  He was going to surprise me and then I was talking about all my classes this fall and he saw that I had a Christmas Class planned that week.  He should know by now I don't like surprises.....except when they're really good at Christmas...he surprised me with a Canon XTI digital camera...yes, I cried!!  I had resorted to using my old Canon Rebel because my point and shoot camera was driving me crazy!!!  Oh well, I better stop now..I could ramble forever!

Have a great Tuesday!!!

p.s. if you saw my little rude comment that I posted yesterday, please ignore me, having a stomach ache for multiple days was making me grumby. Sorry!!!

Priceless Grocery List

Aug_14th_020 I couldn't wait another minute to show off my New Grocery list....aren't they soooo cute????   I made these yesterday and was going to save them for my Thursday post....but I'm already saving couple other items so I'm double posting!!

Here's the scoop......Bought note pads at Walmart, think they came in either a five or four pack.....took them kinkos and ask them to cut it twice, getting three to one pad.  That line in the middle doesn't bother me but it would some all know who you are....wink wink.  If it does bother you then have them cut that piece off and still get your two cuts per pad.

Little note....would not buy the Walmart notepads again....after Kinkos cut them the middle pads fell apart...guess the adhesive didn't hold in the middle.  On the next picture you will see what I did to fix that...Since I can't throw anything away I decided to work around the pad not holding together.....I took my AWESOME Crop a dile and punched a hole up top....No, it wouldn't fit over the whole pad but since it was falling apart it just took two punches....then I thread some ribbon thru it....check it's the Halloween one!Aug_14th_018

Aug_14th_008 Good morning!  Can you believe I'm awake at 6am?  Today is Chase's first day of High School and the bus arrives at 6:45....I told him that it should be against the law to be up this early.  He just laughed at me.

I did alot of stamping & cleaning yesterday, I'll be showing you more of my goodies over the next couple days.  Don't forget if you want to view all the organizing photos there's an album to the right.......

Have a great day and Thanks for visiting!!

Stamps:  Event Full & Polka Dot Background   Ink:  Black Stazon, Celery & Bashful Blue    Cardstock:  Whisper White, Celery & Prints Designer (Celery)  Tools & Accessories:  Aqua Painter, Circle Cutter & 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon

Aug_14th_027 Isn't this card beautiful? You should see it in person!! The yellow cardstock is shimmery, much like our shimmery white....very cool!!  Thanks Juanita!!!  If  you're reading this....where did you get that cardstock?

I purchased these wall units at Walmart, many moons ago.....haven't seen them in years!!  But they work perfectly to store my Reinkers, Sponges, Daubers & Stampin' Spots.  This is one of the best systems I have in this totally works!!!Reinkers_upclose   No one has ask yet, but the labels are made with my P-Touch...couldn't live without that baby!!! I've had one for 20 years and gone thru 3 of them!!

One Year Bloggin' Anniversary!!!

Angie_017 I started my Blog one year ago today....Wow.... amazing how time flies!!  I was so excited to start my blog!!  I started bloggin'  so I could communicate more often with my downline and customers without having to use email.   I think I've done that, but still working on it!!!  The added benefit was all my bloggin' friends.  I would not have met some of you without it and I'm so grateful.  What I expected from my blog did not happen but I have made some friends and can't wait to meet you in person, hopefully at Leadership or Convention next year...I know we will have sooo much fun.   Oh my, I'm getting wordy...on to my point.

So, with that being said...I'm offering two Blog Candies.  One for my Customers or Downline and one for my Bloggin' Friends.  If you have purchased from me,  includes ribbon shares, card kits, regular orders or are a member of my downline please post a comment to enter to win!!  I will keep this open for one week (will draw a name on Wed, Aug. 22nd) due to the fact that some of you are out of town.  If you are a Bloggin' Friend, post a comment and I will draw a name on Monday, August 20th.  Angie_019

Good luck and Thanks again for stopping by!!

Update  8/22....Congrats to Kim & Jennifer for winning blog candy!!!

Sunday/Monday Post

Angie_002 Hello Stampers!!!

I'm making some Halloween cards for a special swap and this was my Warm up card....the real one is sooooo cute and can't wait to show ya...but I gotta wait until all the ladies get theirs first.

Speaking of warm up cards, do you do that?  Do you experiment with a stamp set first and then go from there?  I always say..if you're in a slump or whatever you call it, make a card, whether you case it or not and that will get the creative juices flowing. (I have to admit some days nothing works.)

Stamps:  Haunting Halloween & Sanded Background  Ink:  Black Stazon, So Saffron & More Mustard   Cardstock:  Basic Black, More Mustard, Creepy Crawly Designer Paper  Tools & Accessories:  Circle Cutter, Key Tag Punch, Pencils & Sponges

The next picture is what I've been working on this weekend.  I decided that this year....2007, I will get organized!!!  The year has not been a good one for me and I decided that getting my room in order is just what I need.  I'm starting small and so far I've cleaned off my bookshelves.  Getting this NON Stampin' Up! ribbon organized was driving me crazy...yes, I could have used our ribbon holders but I have hundreds of rolls and really don't have room for all the the solution was found on someone else's blog...wish I could remember who...but sorry, I can't....I bought a large piece of foam board and cut it so I have 10 pieces that measure 6 x 10 (I think that's right).  Now all my Non SU Ribbon is sorted by colors, for example I have two pieces of foam with greens.  Check it out!!Angie_006_2 Angie_007_2 I will start a Photo album (to the right) to store all the photos I'm gonna take of my organizing, so that maybe I can help someone too!!

And, last but not's what I was talking about the other day....I use to be a huge Mary Engelbreit fan...until they changed the cover of the magazines. Here's the pictures to show you the difference.Mary_e_mag Mary_e_new

Have a great day!!

Angies_merry_bright_3_005 Finally.....I found the time to load my other card....don't you just love this set??  I had so much fun making this card, I stepped out of my box and just kept adding stuff.  Of course, now that I'm looking at it I think I should have colored one tree pink...oh well, I still love it!!!

See the "Celebrate Christmas"?  That set is "Fundamental Phrases"  and it is sooo easy to use.  Although I love the Every day Flexible Phrases, I've always struggled to stamp them straight....well, not this will love it!!!!

Also notice the scallop border...I used the New small corner rounder to make it!!

Late Monday

Zoofari_003 Hi everybody......seems like I've been gone forever....sorry  I'm so late posting.

We picked up Chase from his grandparents yesterday and since we were in the Ozarks and the outlet mall was there we went school clothes shopping.  Need I say more?  Between the drive and the shopping in the extreme heat, I'm exhausted!!

Tomorrow is my "Card Class" and this is one of the cards we'll be making.  Can you believe I just got this stamp set?  I kept resisting but now I'm glad I bought it!!!!  I love this card, but can not take full credit.  Julie gave me a card last month with circles and then I saw someones card on SCS so I took a little from each of them and came up with my own.  Can you believe that is Kraft cardstock?  I love the look of it!!!

Have a great evening!!
